It's hard to imagine a more timeless pocket knife. One of Otter-Messer's earliest designs and most enduring. Three and a quarter inches of satin-finish carbon steel. A sapele handle with stainless bolsters at either end. A slip joint between them, no more and no less.

What we love most about this knife is its restraint. No clip, no flipper, no assisted opening. Its handle is made of dense hardwood with figured grain and a warm reddish tone that will only deepen with use. The carbon steel takes a keener edge than stainless and rewards basic maintenance with years of use.

This is a blade you can carry every day, and will never let you down.

Otter-Messer has manufactured knives in Solingen since 1840, when the Berns brothers established production in a watermill. The company maintains handcrafted methods developed across five generations of continuous output, sharpening and finishing each blade through processes refined over 180 years of German knifemaking tradition.
